Oopsie Day

Although you all probably don't want to hear about all the mundane things that I do throughout my days here, I am planning on using this as somewhat of a journal as well as a way to keep you all updated on what's going on!
So, after my 12 hour slumber, I woke up at 4:00 am (around 10:30 am the previous morning Midwest time). I could not for the life of me get back to sleep, so instead I FaceTimed with Sinisha until I decided it was ready to get along with my day. I got ready and took the Tram into the city where I conveniently found a mall...oops.
If you know me well, you know that when I enter a mall, my willpower stays outside with the dogs tied to the lamppost. I was very happy to find out that this particular mall was an outlet mall which gave my wallet a sigh of relief. After walking around the mall for about an hour, I noticed that I needed to greatly step my fashion game up immensely if I wanted to blend in with the Aussies. The style that they have is impeccable. Although, I would never consider wearing heels to a mall, those girls that could rocked the shit out of them.
This gave me such confidence to have no inhibitions when it came to what I wore here, and so I decided to buy some clothes. Here in Australia, they have a store called Cotton On, which may be the best store in the universe. I could compared it to an Urban Outfitters mixed with Forever 21 and a little dash of Ragstock. Since this little blip in my wallet, I have decided that I am not allowed to step foot inside of a mall unless it is to buy something I absolutely need.
I ended up getting back to where I was staying around 2:00 that afternoon, when I decided that I needed to buy some groceries. So I located the nearest grocery store, which happened to be an Aldi's about 12 minutes away. I sadly came to realize that the deliciousness of pretzels did not grace the shelves here, nor did Diet Mt Dew. So instead, I got some apples and bananas (two of my staples), some granola bars, and a box of chicken flavored crackers called Snackos, that taste almost identically to Chicken in A Biskit crackers back home!
On my walk back from here, it just so happened to start raining on me. Fortunately, being the highly intelligent being from the year 2014 that I am, I had checked the weather on my handy-dandy smartphone earlier that day and knew that it was going to rain so I had brought a jacket. I actually very much enjoyed the walk in the rain. Unlike the vast amounts of snow back home, the rain was warm and despite being in sandals and shorts, I was pleasantly warm.
